Cooler days and rain filled skiesPosted on Oct 24, 2014
Cooler days and rain filled skies…….but not all the time….. We have had some more bursts of sunshine which have coincided well with this months weddings, just perfect !
Congratulations especially to Louise and John who married at Lemore Manor and to Kelly and Daniel whose Wedding was at The Curradine Barns.
Louise chose soft apricot and peach shades to compliment the autumn shades of the trees at Lemore for her outdoor Ceremony in the Bandstand. Her bouquet of Vendella rose, Bouvardia and Astilbe echoed the soft rich creamy lace on her stunning gown. Kelly chose mixed soft shades of pinks, lilac blues and creamy whites, which we used throughout with some subtle touches of deeper shades to give the designs depth. We finished her bouquet with trails of lace and soft ribbon. The dressing room was filled with laughter. Looking forward to photos of you all wearing the beautiful gowns that were hanging everywhere, it was like a dressing room for a catwalk show, you all looked like models.
We also congratulate Leonard and Molly whose Platinum Anniversary party was held last week. What a milestone to celebrate, the flowers for the party echoed the colours of the flowers used on their Wedding Day in 1944. We were asked for yellows, creams and whites for the tables and we made a Corsage and a Buttonhole for the happy couple to wear at the party. We are so pleased you had a happy day with family and friends.
The Autumn Garden Show was held at Malvern and we had three days there. The Autumn Honey Show and competitions are held as part of the main show, very busy but we enjoy it all as well. Happily (and without a single penny being offered to the Judges) we came home with four prizes so our standards are being maintained. Our Honeymooners Goody Basket was much admired, Honey, Heart shaped Beeswax Tea Lights and Spiced warming Mead.
Looking ahead and beginning the flower orders for a Wedding with Pumpkins, lots of them so watch out for more news of that next time!
